Vulcan Vent utilizes a proprietary intumescent coating on a honeycomb matrix inside of their vents. Anytime a flame approaches the vent, the matrix closes up to prevent the flames and embers from entering and igniting insulation or other extreme flammables.

Retrofits are custom made vents to fit perfectly into a vent cutout. Retrofits available include:

Soffits
These vents are prone to ground fires as well as the tall reaching plants. Soffit vents are available in both square cut and continuous. Foundation vents are also available.

Eaves
Vulcan Vent eaves are a perfect solution to keep the burning plants which are commonly near these vents from igniting the inside!
Gables
Gable vent locations are the most susceptible with their large openings, nothing will stop embers from getting in. With a Vulcan Vent gable, those flames and embers will never have the chance.

Dormers are a common target for embers flying from nearby fires. A Vulcan Vent dormer will make sure to keep those embers at bay!
